ABOUT US
Auswide’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Alan Fleming
is a semi-retired and experienced industry practitioner. He was previously a licensed Real Estate Agent (NSW) and an accredited trainer and has a Dip. Bus. Mgt.
Alan has been involved in the industry since 1980, having worked in residential sales, auctions, property management, commercial and industrial sales, leasing and property management, rural property and strata management.
Alan is also the author of the top selling book published by the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) titled “Real Estate Office Manual” which sold all 2,000 copies across Australia in the first 2 years of publication.
Since the mid 1990′s, Alan has provided training, Compliance Assessments, and business consulting services to many Agencies, Industry organisations and Groups such as REINSW, Raine & Horne, Laing + Simmons, Ray White, Century 21, PRD Nationwide, RT Edgar (Vic), Jim’s Real Estate (Vic), Provincial Buyer Advocacy Agency (Vic) and Ace Body Corporate Management, as well as selling over 3,000 Manuals to Industry participants.
He has also written over 100 training programs, including many specifically for real estate licensing for REINSW, UTS and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT).
Alan’s extensive and broad experience, his involvement in regular business development meetings and training sessions with agents, has equipped him with a wealth of expertise, knowledge and proven ideas, many of which are included in the Manuals, assisting his customers to become more successful business operators and Fair Trading Compliant.
Every successful business needs to have policies and procedures manuals covering all its activities of the business, and for NSW Agents Section 2.1 of the Fair Trading Supervision Guidelines requires it for Compliance.
It is good business sense and “best practice” to have procedures documented, it gives the staff specific guidelines as to what their job roles entail so they follow your instructions and directives, not instructions that are verbal and can be misunderstood, forgotten or ignored.
All employees should receive a copy of the Manual when they commence with an office, and it should be referenced in their employment contract.
Our Procedures Manuals are not only full of proven industry procedures and systems they contain great tips for improving the business and managing the business much better, and are an ideal base, or platform, for Agents to work from to create their own personalised Office Policies and Procedures Manuals. And for Training In-House too.
All the current New South Wales versions include all the NSW Fair Trading mandatory documented procedures that agents are required to have.
